DESCRIPTION:A webinar with Lisa Romero sponsored by the Association of Waldorf Schools in North America and the Anthroposophical Society in America.\nA healthy relationship to gender and sexuality supports our wellbeing\, both as individuals and as a community. The form in which we bring gender and sex education to children and adolescents needs to serve them in cultivating useful capacities with which to meet the growing societal changes around this fundamental aspect of being human. Equally as important\, education has the potential of harmonising such things as the inner disturbances and imbalances created by social media and exposure to pornography which is the most prevalent sources of implicit sex-education in our time. \nProviding a healthy and socially constructive sex education is the responsibility of the primary caregivers\, parents\, teachers\, as well as individuals in the wider community\, who together contribute to the collective consciousness. This weekend will also focus on how to perceive\, support and elicit the true nature of the individual human being from childhood to adulthood. We will explore the changing role and the need for new community responsibility\, that can provide young people with what is needed in the growing self-consciousness and separation that they are facing specifically around their questions and the role and influence of technology\, gender and sexuality.
