DESCRIPTION:This professional development is comprised of three weekend courses to build an understanding of the relevant depth and progression anthroposophy brings to this important aspect of life. The three course are: \n\nWorking Wholistically with Gender and Sexuality – The Understanding of being Male and Female\nWorking Wholistically with Gender and Sexuality – Understanding and Developing the Masculine and Feminine Forces Towards Harmony\nWorking Wholistically with Gender and Sexuality – Understanding Individual Responsibility in Working Towards New Community\n\nAn individual can choose to attend any or all of the courses in any sequence. Teachers\, health professionals and those working with young people will find them beneficial to understand how differences and similarities work in childhood development\, human relationships and spiritual development in the changing needs of our time. Supporting this aspect of the health and well-being of the individual child’s relationship to gender and sexuality results in greater resilience and confidence in their growing relationship to the wider community. \nThroughout the training we look at environmental and community influences on sexuality and gender in young people’s lives. When working out of anthroposophy we are asked not to judge the other by gender and to teach in a unisexual way. Only through deep understanding of the un-freedom of being man or woman can we contribute to the education and development of others in freedom. \nThis November training is Understanding and Developing the Masculine and Feminine Forces Towards Harmony\nFrom an esoteric view of the human being\, it can be understood that within the individual there are both masculine and feminine forces. This course will explore the development of these masculine and feminine forces within the child\, what occurs when there are imbalances and how these imbalances may be expressed later in adult sexuality and social behaviours. DESCRIPTION:This lecture introduces teachers\, parents\, health professionals and those working with children and adolescents to understand how gender differences and similarities work in childhood development\, human relationships and spiritual development in the changing needs of our time. \nIt introduces an understanding of how to bring a healthy picture of development in the context of Waldorf pedagogy which keeps the child united to the whole and does not cause a division in consciousness. \nWhen working out of anthroposophy we are asked not to judge the other by gender and to teach in a unisexual way. SUMMARY:Understanding the Inner and Outer Biography – Canada
DESCRIPTION:Through understanding the nature of both inner and outer growth we can more readily take the next step in our lives. The inner life is not a room or space but a living\, growing world that has its reflection in the outer sense world. \nLike the outer sense world there are developmental stages and steps that need to be lived through. In both biographies we can learn what is being asked and what is being cultivated in ourselves and in others. We learn to recognise the next step and how each individual can work towards personal and collective evolution. \nThis course is a furthering of the inner work brought to the Toronto community last year but it is also open to new participants\, as the inner work will be approached from a new understanding. This course will present aspects of the inner biography and how meditative practice can help evolve us forward through the different stages of inner growth. Perceiving our outer biography from an esoteric point of view allows us to utilize the events of our lives to understand and work more deeply towards self-transformation. We will also seek to understand how the seasons and cycle of the year reflect stages of inner development. SUMMARY:Understanding the Initiation of The “I” – (USA Course)
DESCRIPTION:Once the body has grown\, the soul begins to develop\, either in relationship to the physical body which is limited and transient\, or within its own capacities whereby the soul develops through sentient experience into intellectual reasoning and finally towards full consciousness. It is during this development of the souls capacities\, which occur through individual effort\, that the I may begin its initiation. \nInner schooling exercises and meditation leads us towards transformation of the soul’s capacities into organs of spiritual perception and a living relationship with the spiritual world.
