SUMMARY:Social Understanding\, Gender\, & Sexuality in the Light of Waldorf Education
DESCRIPTION:This workshop addresses gender differences and similarities that can both limit or free us\, and the contribution and struggles of the changing social structures around gender and sexuality affecting us all. It will help to bring an understanding of how to support the child/adolescent in these times and will also address some of the questions and challenges that adults experience. We will explore the anthroposophical understanding of being more than male and female and how to express the evolving pictures of gender and sexuality to students in primary and secondary school. It will also include the common struggles that are experienced during childhood\, adolescence and into adulthood. Supporting this aspect of the health and wellbeing of the individual child’s relationship to gender and sexuality results in greater resilience and confidence in their growing relationship to the wider community.\nThe conference commences on Friday night with an open public lecture “Gender and Sexuality in the Developing Child” and continues into the conference for the day on Saturday and Sunday (finishing at 1pm)\nFacilitated by Lisa Romero and colleagues and sponsors including the Portland Branch of the Anthroposophical Society\, The Society for Physicians of Anthroposophic Naturopathy (SPAN)\, Portland Curative Collective Inc. (PCCI)\, and the National University for Natural Medicine Anthroposophic Medicine Club (NUNM). SUMMARY:Strengthening Foundations of Meditation and Inner Development
DESCRIPTION:This course describes how and why various meditations and exercises work to strengthen the soul and its relationship to the spiritual world.\nRudolf Steiner gave many exercises and meditations to strengthen the human being through its journey of developing consciousness. Together we will explore the inner work\, the birth of the higher self\, the spiritual year and how exercises can bring us closer to our own experience of these processes. This will enable us to both hold and further our daily practices.\nThose wishing to establish a meditative life and long-term meditants have found this work invaluable in deepening their relationship to the path.\nClick here to open and save a flier for printing  \nFor more information email innerworkpathusa@gmail.com \nClick here to register
