SUMMARY:Our Relationship to Elemental Beings and Their Task in Harmonising the World's Climate and Biodiversity
DESCRIPTION:​A workshop facilitated by Lisa Romero\, Anthony Mecca\, & Séamus Maynard as part of the North American Biodynamic Association’s Online Conference \nThe elemental realm\, most readily recognized in the growth and development of plants\, brings forth the life of the earth. Climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic are revealing challenges in their ability to harmoniously maintain this life. Industrialization\, electrification\, social strife\, and imbalances in the human soul all have a significant impact on the elemental beings. They are calling for healing their relationship with human beings so they may take up their rightful task in renewing the life of the earth and maintaining its health. In this workshop we will look towards how we may reforge a healthy\, harmonious relationship with the elemental realm in support of their crucial work.\n\nBiodynamic agriculture is a practical way to lift our souls consciously to the spirit. This lifting of our souls can reveal through direct experience the plight and task of the elemental beings\, and how we may heal our relationship with them. With this recognition we can support harmony in the life of the earth\, the social realm\, and in our individual soul life. We will work with artistic and inner exercises\, conversation\, and practical applications to deepen and clarify our relationship to the elemental realm. SUMMARY:Healing Society\, Healing the Earth: Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Explore a path of transformation for the individual and for society as a whole\, which is critical for healing the Earth\nHealing Society\, Healing the Earth  is a course presented by EduCareDo and the Biodynamic Association of North America. It includes eight weekly live video sessions on Mondays from 7-8:30pm USA ET\, beginning on September 14 and ending November 2. Course presenters are Anthony Mecca and Seth Jordan; Lisa Romero is a guest speaker on September 21. \nClick to register \n“We will explore a path of transformation for the individual and for society as a whole\, both critical for healing the Earth. Topics include developing social understanding\, inner development\, society as threefold (interest and freedom in human development\, just and fair social relationships\, and solidarity and cooperation in economics)\, distribution of resources and capital\, ownership and stewardship\, basic income and meaningful work\, and more. Coursework will include short readings\, experiential and artistic exercises\, and practical examples. Weekly sessions are structured around presentations interspersed with exercises and small group conversations. Participants are expected to take up simple activities between sessions and check-in with another course participant.  Together we will begin to explore how these healing paths initiated by Steiner can support the change that needs to come. \nTo fully participate in the live video sessions\, you need to have a reliable internet connection and a computer\, tablet\, or smartphone with a camera and microphone. Video recordings of each weekly session will be available to participants to review content or make up for a missed class.” \n Course Content\nIt is clear the earth and social life are in need of healing. Climate change demands attention. The call for social justice rings loud. The pandemic revealed further the fragile\, unjust structure of society. Politics are polarizing. Technology and information overload are common. Our connections to each other and the natural world are eroding. We are distancing from a healthy relationship with ourselves\, each other\, and the earth. How can we create a path towards healing? How can individuals work alongside each other to bring their ideals into the world? \nPrescient to these needs\, Rudolf Steiner initiated two complementary healing paths: social threefolding and biodynamic agriculture. At the foundation of both lies the capacity to sense into and form living pictures of wholeness. Within this wholeness\, there is a striving to weave dynamic elements together in harmony. Relationships to one’s self\, others\, and the natural world are encouraged to develop in service of the earth and humanity. The mystery schools of the past brought outer festivals to present the community with the esoteric wisdom clothed in outer forms. Today this wisdom is not engaged with consciously by the chosen few but is now for the many. Deepening our understanding and ability to participate in the spiritual year supports us on the path of inner development and in relationship to the spiritual world and to our farms\, gardens\, and communities.\nIn this webinar\, we will examine how developing inner capacities allows us to more clearly perceive and bring healing activities to the land and to our communities.
