DESCRIPTION:Outer festivals are celebrated collectively and yet they are also representations of an individual’s initiation path. The mystery schools of the past presented outer festivals to present the community with the esoteric wisdom clothed in outer forms. Today this wisdom is not engaged with consciously by the chosen few but is now for the many. Deepening our understanding and ability to participate in the spiritual year serves a relationship between ourselves and the spiritual world as well as between ourselves and the community.\nFriday 7-9pm; Saturday & Sunday 10-3pm\nLecture Titles:\nFriday night – Understanding the Significance of the Spiritual Year and its Festivals; bringing strength to perceive and face the malevolent forces of our times.\nSaturday morning –  The Stages of Inner Development Expressed in the Spiritual Year and the overcoming of the dragon expressed in the Michaelmas Festival\nSunday morning – Michaelmas as a Community and an Individual Experience\nIntegrative artistic exercises and conversation space to support the content will take place in the afternoons.\n  \nHosted by the Viroqua Branch of the Anthroposophical Society\nTo register please email mary@pleasantridgewaldorf.org

SUMMARY:Inner and Outer Work Towards Spirit-led Community
DESCRIPTION:The inner work provides accessible insights into the workings of the human soul\, outlines its relationship to the spiritual life\, and shows the way to develop and strengthen our inner capacities through practical exercises\, experience\, and deep understanding.\nIn community life we learn consciously and unconsciously from each other; and we need to be able to elicit the individuality in the other. This weekend will also focus on how to perceive\, support and elicit the true nature of the individual human being from childhood to adulthood. We will explore the changing role and the need for new community responsibility\, that can provide young people with what is needed in the growing self-consciousness and separation that they are facing specifically around their questions and the role and influence of technology\, gender and sexuality.
