SUMMARY:Understanding the Complexities of Child Development in Today's World: Social Understanding\, Gender and Sexuality
DESCRIPTION:The course addresses gender differences and similarities that can both limit or free us and the contribution and struggles of the changing social structures around gender and sexuality affecting us all. It will help to bring an understanding of how to support the child/adolescent in these times and will also address some of the questions and challenges that adults experience.\nAs adults much of what we struggle with today can be traced to our own developmental stages. By deeply understanding the foundations laid down in childhood we can recognize the healing steps we and others need to take. The workshop is open and relevant to adults caring for children of all ages. The day will cover the main themes of the content brought to the children and adolescents and some of the main issues confronting child health and wellbeing in current times\, with examples of how we can counter the unbalancing effects.\nPlease contact the school to register for this event.
