SUMMARY:Parent Education to Complement the Student Program - Social Understanding\, Gender and Sexuality
DESCRIPTION:The lecture is for parents and other interested people. It complements the work being presented to students. It helps to recognise the relevant depth and progression anthroposophy brings to this important aspect of life and the responsibility of community in raising children and working together to promote individual wellbeing.\nIt will cover how and when we work with children and adolescents to bring the understanding of sexuality and gender in relation to where they are in their consciousness. This brings harmony between the evolving body and inner experiences that sets the ground for healthy adult experience. The talk will cover the themes of the content brought to the students and some of the main issues confronting child health and wellbeing in current times\, with examples of how we can counter the unbalancing effects. We also address how to understand gender differences and similarities that both limit or free us and the contribution and struggles of the changing social structures around gender and sexuality affecting us all.

DESCRIPTION:Through the esoteric understanding of child development we will explore what is needed to support a child’s growth at various stages of their school life. This brings harmony between the evolving body and soul which sets the ground for healthy adult experience. The course also addresses gender differences and similarities that can both limit or free us. \nAs adults much of what we struggle with today can be traced to our own developmental stages. By understanding deeply the foundations laid down in childhood we can recognise the healing steps we and others need to take. Through inner development exercises we overcome our past and in doing so we begin to see the potential gifts in it. \nThis course is highly valuable to teachers\, parents\, therapists and those wishing to gain insight into the anthroposophical wisdom of child development and the individual’s ability to transform the past through inner development.
