SUMMARY:Recognizing the Christ Impulse
DESCRIPTION:Friday night Jonah will explore some of Steiner’s predictions for our time and how to discern their reality. We will deepen the question of how we find the Christ in our time\, how we can see His workings\, and reveal ways to experience His etheric reality today. Saturday and Sunday Lisa will be presenting inner development in the light of anthroposophy as a path for every individual to awaken themselves. We will be exploring and understanding that through the various steps of awakening and inner development we can recognize the Christ impulse at work. This allows us to come to a closer understanding of this impulse of love in our and others inner growth and through our own inner experiences perceive how we can progress in our awakening this impulse of love in our daily lives. \nFriday 6:30-8:30pm\, Saturday 10am-3pm\, Sunday 10am-3pm \nLISA ROMEROis an author of anthroposophical inner development books and an adult educator who has been delivering education enriched with anthroposophy for over 20 years. Since 2006 the primary focus of her work has been on teaching inner development and anthroposophical meditation. Steinerbooks has published her 5 books. ‘The Inner Work Path’ which focuses on meditation practice; ‘Developing the Self’ written after years of working with Waldorf teachers to support their inner work and pedagogical understanding of child development; ‘Living Inner Development’ which offers an understanding of the inner experiences and of the results of various exercises; ‘Sex Education and the Spirit’; and ‘Spirit-led Community’. \nREV. SUMMARY:Sex Education and The Spirit
DESCRIPTION:A healthy relationship to gender and sexuality supports our wellbeing\, both as individuals and as a community. The form of sex education that we bring to children and adolescents not only needs to combat the inner disturbances and imbalances created by social media and exposure to pornography – as the most prevalent sources of implicit sex-education in our time – but it also needs to serve them in cultivating useful capacities with which to meet the growing societal changes around this fundamental aspect of being human. Providing a healthy and socially constructive sex education is the responsibility not only of the primary caregivers\, parents\, and teachers\, but also of the individuals in the wider community\, who likewise contribute to the collective consciousness. SUMMARY:Understanding the Inner and Outer Biography – Canada
DESCRIPTION:Through understanding the nature of both inner and outer growth we can more readily take the next step in our lives. The inner life is not a room or space but a living\, growing world that has its reflection in the outer sense world. \nLike the outer sense world there are developmental stages and steps that need to be lived through. In both biographies we can learn what is being asked and what is being cultivated in ourselves and in others. We learn to recognise the next step and how each individual can work towards personal and collective evolution. \nThis course is a furthering of the inner work brought to the Toronto community last year but it is also open to new participants\, as the inner work will be approached from a new understanding. This course will present aspects of the inner biography and how meditative practice can help evolve us forward through the different stages of inner growth. Perceiving our outer biography from an esoteric point of view allows us to utilize the events of our lives to understand and work more deeply towards self-transformation. We will also seek to understand how the seasons and cycle of the year reflect stages of inner development. Together we will explore the inner work\, the birth of the higher self\, the spiritual year and how exercises can bring us closer to our own experience of these processes. This will enable us to both hold and further our daily practices. Those wishing to establish a meditative life and long-term have found this work invaluable in deepening their relationship to the path.
